The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Oakland Fire Department/Twitteras fire crews fought to contain a “well involved” fire involving eight big rigs on Sunday morning.
Twelve firefighters from three separate engine companies responded to the blaze near 14th and Maritime streets at approximately 8:30 a.m., Michael Hunt, a spokesperson for the Oakland Fire Department, told SFGATE.
The fire was under control by 8:56 a.m. No trailers were involved, and no injuries were reported, but all eight of the trucks sustained “various levels of significant fire damage,” Hunt said.
