The new San Antonio restaurant in the former home of Summer Camp serves smashburger-style beef and chicken patties and California-style burritos.
The burgers are back at a popular Government Hill hangout. Smash 'd opened Friday in the former home of Summer Camp at 520 E. Grayson St. near the Pearl . The restaurant is a new concept from co-owning couples Erin and Rick Greenfield , and Veronica and Nathan Levens . Smash 'd has a fresh look, menu and feel, but one thing remains the same from the building's Summer Camp days: Chef Brandon Peterson is still in the kitchen.
camp-inspired restaurants and bars open in San Antonio 'That’s my favorite thing,' Peterson said. 'It was my go-to comfort food when I lived in California. It’s also something that kind of gets smashed on a griddle.' Smash'd offers a full bar with a selection of craft cocktails, wine and beer.
