One day after Russell Heller was shot outside his place of work, a PSE&G office, the tight-knit community of Milford is reeling.

On Thursday, a flag in front of the Franklin headquarters where the killing took place was flying at half-staff. “We are shocked and saddened to hear about the loss of Mr. Russell Heller, a valued community member and alumnus of Delaware Valley Regional High School,” said district Superintendent Scott McKinney.
In a statement posted on Facebook, officials with Milford Fire Company Station 92 said Heller “was always an advocate of our small town’s fire company.”
