Around 2 p.m., the department was notified that a Cessna 172 landed on Timberlake Drive — a four-lane roadway — near Park Row drive, according to police.The plane struck a chain link fence during the emergency landing, police said, adding that no other property was damaged.The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident, police said.
Timberlake Drive was expected to be closed between Park Row Drive and just north of Pioneer Parkway for several hours.
