'I don't like puzzles' - Slow going as State builds case on Modack's alleged money laundering
The three men accused of money laundering for murder-accused Nafiz Modack have been biding their time in a corner of the dock in the Western Cape High Court, which is trying to get to the bottom of the murder of Anti-Gang Unit detective Charl Kinnear.
Kinnear was murdered outside his home in Bishop Lavis, Cape Town, on 18 September 2020 and 15 people, including Modack, are on trial for being part of an alleged criminal enterprise that also dabbled in money laundering, intimidation and communications interception.
