The shooting happened in an informal settlement, according to Brigadier Jay Naicker, KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson.
“It is alleged that at 1pm, a group of men aged between 22 and 25 years old, were seated in a house at an informal settlement in N Section, Umlazi, when they were attacked by approximately seven men who were armed with pistols,” he said.A further two injured men were found by police near the scene and transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment.Six cases of murder and two of attempted murder were opened at the Umlazi Police Station.
