Six ferry sailings between Horseshoe Bay and Langdale cancelled Thursday

The ferry service has cancelled six sailings because of 'mechanical difficulty' on the Queen of Coquitlam

BC Ferries has cancelled six sailings Thursday, Aug. 4 because of 'mechanical difficulty with the engine control transfer' on the Queen of Coquitlam.

Cancelled sailings are the 11:45 a.m. departing Langdale, the 12:55 p.m. departing Horseshoe Bay, 2:05 p.m. departing Langdale, 3:15 p.m. departing Horseshoe Bay, 4:20 p.m. departing Langdale, 5:30 p.m. departing Horseshoe Bay BC Ferries apologized for the inconvenience and said other sailings were expected to proceed as scheduled.

"We are working to resolve the problem and will keep you informed as more information becomes available," said the release.
