The South African Police Service (SAPS) have arrested six suspects in total on two separate occasions in Mitchells Plain and George for illegally possessing firearms and ammunition on Monday, 6 May. This is according to a recent press statement issued by the SAPS.

Upon their arrival at the address, a 34-year-old man was found on the premises and ensued with a thorough search of the Wendy house that was situated on the same premises. The suspect faces a charge of the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition and was scheduled to appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrates’ Court today.
After pulling over a Toyota Etios with five occupants, aged between 20 and 35, SAPS members searched the occupants and vehicle.
