Rain spilled on to the stage but Rod kept performing while directing clean up RodStewart
Sir Rod Stewart performed tonight at Edinburgh Castle Esplanade delighting fans with his incredible show, despite the rain.
Despite the adverse weather conditions, fans did not let it rain on their parade- with many sporting multicoloured ponchos as they enjoyed the show. Concertgoers hailed the performer a 'legend' with one fan even taking to social media to write: "My mum's having the best time and her smile was worth the money I've spent on Rod Stewart tickets"
The weather is likely to stay dry for Friday's show and temperatures are unlikely to dip below 15 degrees.The hotly-tipped artist was named best vocalist at the Scottish Jazz Awards and best female breakthrough artist at the Scottish Music Awards.
