Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority and the United States Federal Communications Commission signed a memorandum of understanding to reinforce the partnership to stop unsolicited and illegal communications such as scams.

Under the MOU, IMDA said the parties will strengthen cooperation in regulatory enforcement and mutual information exchanges in regulatory frameworks, and technical and policy solutions in both markets.“International cooperation is key in preserving trust for the digital commons, especially when addressing issues such as online scams which transcend borders.
