Singapore Airlines has been named the best airline in the world for 2023 by airline-ranking company Skytrax.was announced in a gala ceremony in the Air and Space Museum at the Paris Air Show on Tuesday.
Singapore Airlines, which came in second last year, takes the lead over the seven-time winner Qatar Airways, which fell to second place this year. Singapore’s top ranking marks the airline’s fifth time claiming the "World's Best Airline" title in the award's 23-year history. , the airline’s chief executive, celebrated the award, saying it was “a testament to the indomitable spirit of our people.”“We are very grateful to our customers for their enduring loyalty to and affection for Singapore Airlines,” Goh said. “During the pandemic, their support and encouragement gave us the strength and determination to overcome the unprecedented challenges.
Meanwhile, Bangkok Airways claimed the title for the World’s Best Regional Airline, Garuda Indonesia was voted as having the World’s Best Cabin Staff for the sixth time and Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific was singled out as having the World’s Best Inflight Entertainment for the first time.
