Simon Jordan and Martin Keown clash over whether Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali’s ban should be longer after FA Charges
Simon Jordan has been accused of being out for 'blood' in his view that Sandro Tonali should be given an extended ban.
"So if you commit a crime and then during the course of events which comes to light that you've convicted further crimes, your sentence doesn't get lessened, it tends to get greater. Keown acknowledged players that break the rules need to face consequences, but stressed Tonali's current season-ending punishment should be enough.
"I don't know think we're going to get much from it by extending his ban, I think Newcastle are suffering largely in all of this.Interjecting, Jordan stated: "Because of his own actions." Jordan wasn't having his suggestion, as he stated: "On what basis? Just out of curiosity, are you a definer of tariffs?
