EMR has issued a statement
East Midlands Railway has confirmed "significant delays" to trains in Nottingham after a lorry crashed into a bridge. All services between Nottingham and Peterborough will now be via rail replacement coach following the collision.
EMR has stated that the bridge suffered "significant damage" as a result of the crash. Trains cannot be diverted as a result.Due to the nature of the crash, Liverpool Lime Street to Norwich services will terminate at Nottingham, with Norwich to Liverpool Lime Street services beginning at Nottingham. Two buses are running between Nottingham and Peterborough, one stopping at Grantham and another running direct.
"As a result, Liverpool Lime Street to Norwich services will terminate at Nottingham. Norwich to Liverpool Lime Street services will start at Nottingham."
