Hundreds of domestic flights in Japan were also cancelled.
SINGAPORE – Several flights between Singapore and Tokyo on Aug 16 have been affected as Typhoon Ampil moves towards Japan.
The airline said it has contacted affected customers to put them on alternative flights, where available. Affected customers may also request a full refund if they choose not to continue with the trip, it added.for a full list of affected flights and updates, the airline said, adding that it has informed customers of the change in flight timings.
“The safety of our customers and crew is always our top priority. SIA will continue to monitor the situation closely and make any adjustments, as necessary.”
