The Proteas Test team, captained by Temba Bavuma and including several of the players who were involved in that final less than a month ago, will be back in the West Indies next month for two Tests – in Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana. The Proteas will be spared going to Barbados. “Let’s not go back to a couple of Saturdays ago,” said Conrad when quizzed about the prospect of returning to the Caribbean.
“I didn’t want to have any conversations with any players just yet, but rather give the players some space to deal with the … trauma is a strong word … disappointment of the final.
