Homelessness in a Shropshire town centre is "getting completely out of hand" with neither the police nor council willing to do anything about it, residents have said.Householders and businesses around Princess Street in Shrewsbury town centre say that rough sleepers congregating outside the former House of Fraser department store, which closed in 2019, are becoming a nuisance.
She said:"It is getting completely out of hand. When not having to deal with drug use in broad daylight we’re being woken up at stupid hours of the night with shouting and screaming matches. "You won’t find a single person on Princess Street who doesn’t have something to say about this problem, we are all suffering."
