Covid, Strep A and flu cases have been hitting the NHS hard
Over the past week, we've seen healthcare professionals start to advise the use of masks once again, almost a year since restrictions were completely ditched in the UK.
Amidst rising cases of Covid, Strep A and flu, the UK Health Security Agency has advised people to use face masks and stay at home if they feel unwell. With new advice now being issued by authorities, we want to know whether or not you would like to see the return of face masks.Readers have already been divided in response, with one person leaning on the side of caution saying: "Even without Covid, I wish those that were ill would stay at home - I don't want to be given your cold at work, in the shops or via my children and their school.
Another reader also urged taking precautions, saying: "It's just took me two weeks to get over the flu and no it wasn't Covid. I wish I would have wore a mask because it was horrible to have." However, not everyone took a similar stance, with one person saying: "Think everyone is over reacting. It would help if people covered their mouths when coughing etc. Just basic courtesy." Would you be in favour of face masks and other measures being brought back? Share your thoughts in our comments section.
