The Dash became the first team in NWSL history to play back-to-back matches a player down...
Despite being a player down for the final 38 minutes and getting off no shots on goal, the Dash managed to play Angel City FC to a scoreless draw Sunday night at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.
Dash defender Katie Lind drew a red card in the 58th minute, leaving Houston with 10 players for the final 32 minutes of regulation plus six minutes of stoppage time. The Dash became the first team in NWSL history to play back-to-back matches a player down without losing either game. Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell, whose sixth clean sheet of the season tied a club record, made four saves on the night and holds the league’s best goals-against average at 0.83 per game. The Dash are off to their best defensive start since 2015, having conceded only 10 goals in 13 league games.
Forward Ebony Salmon, who entered as a second-half substitute, had the best chance to score for the Dash. Her shot in the 80th minute hit the near post, and the ball ricocheted back into the field of play, with ACFC able to handle it.More Dynamo & Dash News
