Shoppers have discovered sandals that look a lot like timeless Birkenstocks on Primark shelves
Birkenstock are a much-loved designer brand of sandals that are perfect to wear during the holiday season, however, they can be a bit of a financial investment. If you’re looking for some new summer shoes to throw into your suitcase that won’t sting your bank account, Primark has released a range of sandals that are almost identical to the designer Birkenstocks.
This simple single-strap model has gone on to become a firm fashion favourite. The Primark dupe comes in three colours - Black, Silver and Blue. The German shoe also comes in three colours - Black, White and Dark Brown. The Madrid is the oldest member of the Birkenstock family of models, and the upper is made from the skin-friendly, hard-wearing synthetic material Birko-Flor, while the footbed is lined with suede. In the video, which has over 13k views, the fashion vlogger compares £7 Slip On Sandals from Primark to the Gizeh Birko-Flor style Birkenstock that costs £65.
