Now that 'Armored Core VI' is finally released, the game’s credits have confirmed that both Shoji Kawamori and Kazutaka Miyatake worked on the game’s thoroughly excellent mecha design.
It’s clear that Kawamori handled the “armored core” side of things when it comes to various parts and weapons, but Yanase clearly contributed there as well. Not to mention that the various enemy MTs look very much like something Yanase would come up with.
The only thing here that seems off, is why weren’t these very famous mecha designers mentioned beforehand. Previous games in theseries made a big deal out of Kawamori’s involvement, so to not mention him before the release ofa good while back, but I was told to hold off revealing that. Considering that we hadn’t had angame in a decade, I didn’t want to be the guy that blew the whole thing before it even got released.
In any case, I am just happy that the involvement of Kawamori, Miyatake, Yanase and Yamashita is now out in the open. The mecha designs inis now available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. If you are at all curious about the review, then feel free to
