SheHulk: Attorney at Law director, Kat Coiro, teased the possibilities for the show if it were to be renewed for season 2, saying 'I think the sky’s the limit in terms of what they can do with this moving forward.”
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law director, Kat Coiro, recently teased what could happen if She-Hulk season 2 were to happen. Announced in 2019, the upcoming MCU television series is set to premiere on Disney+ next week and will be the final show in Marvel Studios' Phase Four. The legal comedy will focus on Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who has been hired to defend beings with supernatural powers.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Although the show centers itself around a new character to the franchise, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has already established itself within the MCU with its use of various previously established Marvel characters that are set to appear in the series. Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role as original Avenger Bruce Banner/The Hulk alongside Tim Roth's The Incredible Hulk villain Emil Blonsky, his first human-form appearance since the 2008 film.
“I mean, what’s so exciting to me is you have this premise of superhuman law firm that kind of lends itself to infinite possibilities. You could literally have any character who has ever existed in the MCU or who will ever exist pass through these doors, and it wouldn’t feel like a gratuitous cameo. It would feel completely organic. So I think the sky’s the limit in terms of what they can do with this moving forward.
If She-Hulk season 2 were to happen, there are a number of approaches the creative team could take with regards to the show's legal premise. Perhaps Jen could defend a different superhero each season, with a case slowly playing out over the course of several episodes. Another possibility is committing to a case-of-the-week format, similar to something like Perry Mason, with a rotating cast of super-powered beings looking for a criminal defense attorney.
Of course, She-Hulk season 2 has not been officially confirmed yet, and it's unknown if it will ever come to fruition. During their expansive panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Marvel outlined their plans for the future, including revealing the entire Phase 5 lineup and the next two Avengers movies. Whether or not She-Hulk season 2 gets the green light may depend on if Marvel has a spot for it in the Multiverse Saga.
