Director David F. Sandberg has revealed that his upcoming film Shazam!: Fury of the Gods will not give an explanation for the heroes' new costumes. The first Shazam! movie released in April 2019 as the seventh installment of the DC Extended Universe, and it received positive feedback from both critics and audiences alike.
