The Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz star will attend the event, which will take place at Liverpool Exhibition Centre on October 21 and 22. Simon, 53, became well known in the UK as the co-creator of the Channel 4 sitcom Spaced.
He went on to co-write some of the films he's best known for including Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World's End. Helena Bonham Carter and 'The Boys' star Jensen Ackles have already been confirmed to appear at the event, which returns having last been held in the city in April.The event earlier this year saw Matt Smith, Taylor Lautner and Paddy Considine meet hundreds of fans at Liverpool Exhibition Centre.
However, it is not just about celebrities, with art stalls, merchandise and board games all available at the convention. People took to the comments section of the Simon Pegg announcement to praise the Comic Con organisers.Guy Butler said: "Excellent guest!! tickets book.
