The man was removed from the flight when it landed in Alicante
The Spanish Civil Guard were called to Alicante Airport on Saturday, April 20, after a Jet2 flight from Liverpool John Lennon Airport landed. A Civil Guard spokesperson told the ECHO: "In response to your request for information regarding the events that occurred on April 20th at Alicante Airport, and based on the data you provided, I can confirm that once the flight landed, the Civil Guard was informed of the situation. Consequently, a 40-year-old British man was arrested for sexual assault and minor threats to the crew. The detainee has been made available to the Elche Courts.
About the incident, a Jet2 spokesperson said "We can confirm that Spanish police met flight LS3207 on arrival at Alicante Airport on Saturday 20th April, to offload a disruptive passenger. As a family friendly airline, we take a zero tolerance approach to disruptive passenger behaviour."
