The victim in the sexual assault case against former state Rep. Perry Hooper Jr. is asking that the felony charge against him be dismissed.indicted earlier this month on a charge of first-degree sexual abuse.According to charging documents against Hooper, the alleged incident happened about 8 p.m. Aug. 16, 2022, in the 100 block of Commerce Street in Montgomery.
Hooper had attended a fundraising event earlier at Ravello Ristorante when the alleged assault happened.from behind at the hostess stand. “The suspect grabbed the victim’s breasts and waist while shoving his pelvis against the victim’s backside,’’ the affidavit states.Hooper has been out on $15,000 since his August arrest.“I have asked that any charges against Perry Hopper be dismissed.
