A sex offender spied on a young girl by putting his iPhone under a cubicle in the female public toilets at a busy shopping centre.
A pervert spied on a young girl by putting hisDorniel Nica, a registered sex offender, had filmed the teenager in Warrington ‘s Golden Square Shopping Centre.A teenage girl had been in a cubicle of the shopping centre’s public toilets on October 2 this year after feeling sick, the court was told.
The girl, whose identity is protected, said she saw a hand holding a black iPhone coming from underneath the partition with the neighbouring cubicle.The girl also believed she could hear a man performing a sex act. She and a friend then approached two Cheshire Police officers who went to the toilets but were unable to find the man.They then scoured CCTV at the shopping centre, and saw that a man had entered the female toilets at 5.12pm and left at 5.55pm.
Officers were able to take an image of the man from the footage and submitted it through Retrospective Facial Recognition software.After being arrested, Nica was later charged with voyeurism and attempting to observe a person doing a private act.
