Chelsea could finally land French international this summer as Sevilla chief casts doubt over defender's future CFC
Sevilla chief Jose Maria Cruz de Andres has revealed why the club rejected Chelsea’s bid for Jules Kounde last summer, as the Blues prepare to return for the defender this year.
Thomas Tuchel’s side made an attempt to sign Kounde after their Champions League win last season, but a deal never materialised.And Cruz states that their decision to turn down Chelsea’s bid was because they believed they could get more money for him in future windows – which could be this one.“Not in the timing because we received offers for Jules Kounde in the last two seasons but always in the summer market.“It was better to wait because the market at the time was depressing.
