Storms pummel Queensland's south-east, covering roads in hail and causing localised flash flooding.
An emergency centre has been set up on the Gold Coast after 100 millimetres fell at Mudgeeraba in six hours.
It's the second day in a row storms have pummelled Queensland's south-east, causing localised flash flooding and blanketing roads in hail. "The intensity of the rainfall has eased in comparison to what it was an hour or two ago and as we go into the evening, we see that activity gradually start to contract northward over the south-east," he said.
"We've seen broadly some falls of 50 to 100 millilitres in some parts of the hinterland and around the southern Gold Coast as well — some pockets have received up to 130 millilitres."
