Eyewitness News is monitoring the coastal areas where the storm watch is expected to remain active until 8 p.m. on Friday.
The National Weather Service has canceled a severe thunderstorm watch for all counties except those along the coast.
The storm watch remains active until 8 p.m. on Friday in Jackson, Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston, Matagorda, and Galveston Bay. After an evening of storms, the severe thunderstorm watch has been canceled in the following areas: Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Colorado, Fort Bend, Grimes, Harris, Houston, Liberty, Madison, Montgomery, Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller, Washington, and Wharton.Copyright © 2024 KTRK-TV.
