Harry Styles' concert is expected to go ahead in Copenhagen tonight despite a shooting less than a mile from the arena
Police earlier said several people had been injured at the Fields shopping centre in the Danish capital.Terrified shoppers were seen running for safety and Denmark's TV2 broadcaster posted a photo of a man being put on a stretcher.Police have urged anyone who was at Fields today to contact their relatives.Laurits Hermansen told Danish broadcaster DR that he was in a clothing store at the shopping centre with his family when he heard "three-four bangs".
Concert promoter Live Nation told Reuters the concert would go ahead as planned after "close dialogue" with the police."We are aware that the roads around the arena are closed and that it may take longer to get to the concert," it warned."The police have also given the go ahead for the concert to proceed as planned.
"We're showing the audience into the arena as quickly and quietly as possible, and there are already over half of the audience seated. We wish you all a good concert."Copenhagen's Lord Mayor Sophie Andersen tweeted: "Terrible reports of shooting in Fields. We do not yet know for sure how many are injured or dead, but it is very serious."Police are advising people inside the mall to stay where they are and await police assistance.
