JPegmafia highlights a great week of things to do in and around Vancouver

Where: Harbour Convention CentreEasily one of the year’s most anticipated hip hop shows. Baltimore’s Jpegmafia put out one of the most intense rap records of recent years with Veteran, showcasing an artist who is equal parts experimentation and righteous anger. Vince Staples is one of hip hop’s hottest properties right now putting the Long Beach scene on the map with his sharp recordings such BagBak which was featured on the Black Panther trailer.

The band is at Round 4 of the annual Wacken Metal Round B.C. to determine who gets to represent this province and compete with other regional winners to score a slot on the roster at the biggest rock festivals in the world this summer. After that, the group appears at the Femme Fatale show with fellow female-fronted acts Devana, Emerald Green and Feel Good Jacket.Where: Deer Lake Gallery, 6584 Deer Lake Ave., Burnaby.
