Gunmen attacked the tavern in Kanana township, outside Orkney, in the early hours of Saturday morning, 27 July. In addition to the seven people killed, several others were injured.North West police commissioner Lieutenant-General Sello Kwena condemned the shooting.
“The suspects then took the CCTV system, cash from the till and snooker table. The suspects further robbed patrons of their cellphones and fled from the scene,” said police spokesperson Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone. “Police are still combing through the scene.
