Carpetright stores in Glasgow, Uddingston, Bishopbriggs, Paisley, East Kilbride and Dumbarton will all be shut as Carpetright closes 200 stores across the UK.

Seven Carpetright stores in the Greater Glasgow area are set to be shut down as more than 200 shops will close across the country.

Administrators at PwC said the deal will save more than 308 current jobs at Carpetright.
