Police in Cape Town made seven arrests in two days, recovering stolen goods and charging suspects with robbery, possession of stolen property, and fraud.

Earlier this week, police officers made a total of seven arrests in less than two days. The arrests resulted in the recovery of a number of stolen items. \In addition, three suspects allegedly robbed a pedestrian along Jakes Gerwel Drive and proceeded to flee the scene. After a chase ensued, officers managed to catch two of the suspects while the third managed to evade authority. The victim of the robbery arrived at the SAPS station based in Athlone.

She then identified her belongings as well as the two suspects who were accordingly charged with robbery, possession of stolen property and possession of a dangerous weapon. \In the Muizenberg area, on Tuesday 7 January, traffic officers who were out on patrol received information regarding a remote jamming/ theft out of motor vehicle incident which had occurred in the area. The vehicle was then spotted heading in the direction of Sunrise Circle and the driver was consequently pulled over. The officers found a number of items in the vehicle, including a remote jamming device, false licence plates, tools used to break into cars and the items that had been reported stolen in the remote jamming incident. Four suspects aged between 25 and 33 were arrested for possession of stolen property, possession of suspected stolen property, possession of car breaking implements, fraud, remote jamming, and theft out of motor vehicle.
