Serious collision shuts main road for number of hours and leaves person badly injured
The Manchester Evening News understands a person has been left with serious injuries after a collision in Ashton-in-Makerfield this afternoon .
The MEN understands at least one person was seriously injured in the incident. The nature of their injuries has not been confirmed.A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Just after 3pm on Monday 26 June, fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Bolton Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield. One fire engine from Wigan quickly attended the incident, which involved two vehicles.
