SINGAPORE — A man who had 10 previous convictions for protest-related offences tried, at his 11th trial, to summon Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong for questioning.
Yan Jun, 47, returned to court for the 11th time where he was convicted again for staging an illegal protest outside the US Embassy
Yan was charged with taking part in a public assembly without a permit and behaving in a disorderly manner in a public place Body cam footage from one of the prosecution's witness showed Yan shouting and holding placards on the afternoon of Aug 20 During the trial, Yan asked for his allegations to be answered and even asked to summon Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to court for questioning
