Advocate Zandile Mshololo, the defence lawyer of one of the man accused of killing former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa, on Thursday grilled a concession out of state witness and police forensic expert Thabo Mosia in the Pretoria High Court

The police sergeant appeared to fall on his sword when he admitted that he did not declare to the court that he kept key exhibits in his office safe.

At this stage Mosia was speaking through a court interpreter for the first time since his cross-examination and testimony began in April. Mshololo, who is the defence lawyer for accused number five, Sifiso Ntuli, argued that since this was the case, the evidence was not stored properly and the exhibits were open to tampering.
