The chief instructor of New World Shotokan karate, sensei John Barnett, is elated after his Benoni dojo students won 33 medals at the NWS’ annual regional championships at Impala Park Hall on April 13.

The tournament, held annually in April, pitted karatekas from dojos in Benoni, Boksburg and Kempton Park, and Witbank, Sabie, Hazyview, Nelspruit and Hazyview.
