Small items can bring to life past trips to Israel, Cuba and more
In order of importance I would put a trip to the Holy Land on top of the list. That was during one of several trips I had taken to Cuba. Some, like that trip, were more beach and resort oriented. Others, however, were much more adventurous. Having joined a group called Cuba Discovery Tours, based in Brandon, Manitoba, we criss-crossed the island from east to west on several trips, with, of course, stops in the capital city Havana where I got to visit Ernest Hemingway’s favourite bar.
On a second, more recent visit, Istanbul was the final destination of a cruise with Voyages to Antiquity that began in Venice and took us along the Dalmatian coast and the Greek isles.
