On Monday, February 13, Senator Lisa Murkowski announced her request page for appropriations from the federal budget is now open. Alaskans can request federal money for their projects for the fiscal year 2024. The money directed to states in this way represents no more than one percent of discretionary spending, according to Murkowski, who is a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee.
Any proposals received go to the Senate Appropriations Subcommittees for consideration. “As we go through the annual appropriations process, know that I am going to continue to use my leadership to advocate for priority projects across Alaska.
