Last Thursday marked Schofield’s last day on the show
ITV has confirmed Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary will fill in as hosts of This Morning on Monday following Phillip Schofield’s departure from the show.
Holly Willoughby, who Schofield has hosted alongside since 2009, will remain on the show but she is taking an early half-term holiday break next week and will return on June 5. ITV has said Willoughby will stay on This Morning and will “co-present with members of the This Morning family” in the interim.
"I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.
