The late sovereign — who died Sept. 8 at age 96 — was interred at King George VI Memorial Chapel, where the body of her husband was moved to join her.
Buckingham Palace released the first photo of Queen Elizabeth II’s final resting place next to Prince Philip on Saturday.
“A ledger stone has been installed at the King George VI Memorial Chapel, following the interment of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth,”The post was accompanied by a pic of the sovereign’s grave encompassed by floral arrangements.on Sept. 19, she was interred with the body of her late husband, Philip, being moved to join her.
Her parents, King George VI, who died in 1952, and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, who died in 2002, as well as her sister, Princess Margaret, who also died in 2002, have each been laid to rest at King George VI Memorial Chapel.
