A Seattle woman is calling for the cycle of violence to end after her family members were killed in Israel.

“It’s heartbreaking, it’s just an endless cycle of violence,” said Natalie Smith, sitting at her dining table in Seattle.

When the war started Oct. 7th Smith told KOMO News she did her best to stay in contact with her family in Israel especially her uncle and aunt who she said lived so close to the border with Gaza they could see it from their house.Smith said her phone calls didn’t go through after that. Later learning her uncle’s house had been attacked and he and his wife did not survive.

Mourning the loss of family Smith loved dearly, she told KOMO News she wants more action to free 7 other family members who are missing - presumed to have been kidnapped and now held hostage.
