His arrest closed five open cases for the Seattle Police Department.
Theresa Robinson, KIRO 7 NewsSEATTLE — A man accused of purchasing multiple vehicles over several months using another man’s identity was arrested Saturday.
On Feb. 3, the man whose identity had been stolen contacted the Seattle Police Department and filed a police report for identity theft after he learned of the vehicle purchases made in his name and unauthorized activity to his bank account. Two days later, he went to the dealership, wearing a wig and glasses, to complete the purchase of the Tesla, but a sales representative told him he could not take the car from the lot because he did not bring a physical form of ID with him.
Throughout the next two weeks, police spoke with the victims, who all stated that they never authorized or attempted to obtain any loans with the intent to purchase a vehicle.
