Former Judge Cathy Moore already has an impressive record of public service, working as an equality advocate and judge.“I sometimes ask myself that question when I’m out on the trail, why am I doing this,” Moore says with a dry sense of humor, as she sipped on a drink at a north Seattle coffee shop.
Moore captured the most votes of any challenger in District 5 to replace City Council President Debora Juarez in the August Primary. Juarez is giving up the seat at the end of the year. Moore talked about her views on public safety, homelessness and economic prosperity in the almost 30-minute-long conversation with KOMO’s Senior Reporter Chris Daniels.
