Search of a residence in Sturgeon Falls leads to arrest, charges for 38-year-old
A search warrant of a residence on Dufferin Street in Sturgeon Falls earlier this month led to the seizure of methamphetamine, opioids, and a prohibited weapon, West Nipissing Ontario Provincial Police report.
On Jan. 4, officers from the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau , North East Region Community Street Crime Unit and Nipissing West Crime Unit, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at the home on Dufferin Street, OPP report. “A search of the residence led to the seizure of a prohibited weapon, electronic devices, Canadian currency and drugs suspected to be methamphetamine and fentanyl,” police report. “The value of the drugs seized is believed to be over $800.”The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Feb. 2 in West Nipissing.
