The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy has been shot in northeast Harris County.
– Authorities have released one of the suspects who they detained in connection to the shooting of a deputy during a traffic stop in northeast Harris County on Wednesday.
On Thursday morning, officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety said they had detained one of the suspects, James Green, at 10:24 a.m. Later, officials from Harris County Sheriff’s Office told KPRC 2 that James Green was “apprehended, questioned and released.”Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that he is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest of Terran Green and any other person involved in the shooting.
According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the deputy was shot in the 13500 block of Homestead Road. The deputy was then transported to the hospital by LifeFlight.Preliminary: receiving information that one of our patrol deputies has been shot at the 13500 blk of Homestead.
