The search for two men who were swept away by floodwater in Klipheuwel, an informal settlement about 10km north of Durbanville in Cape Town, has entered its fifth day.

Western Cape police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi said the two men were driving a VW Polo, crossing a flooded low-level bridge near Mikpunt, when they were swept away on Saturday.News 24 contacted the victims' families, but they declined to comment. A video of the incident shows the VW Polo attempting to cross the bridge, after a brief pause, while other motorists turn around.
