Police searching for a missing man from Dewsbury say Ibrar Hussain has links with Birmingham.

Police searching for a missing man from Dewsbury have extended their search to the West Midlands.West Yorkshire Police said the husband and father had links to Birmingham and they were investigating whether he may have travelled there.Mr Hussain was last in contact with his family by phone on 19 February and CCTV footage showed he was in the Lock Street area from 16:00 to about 19:00 GMT that day, a police spokesperson said.

He is described as an Asian Pakistani male, 5ft 9in, of slim build, with a black goatee beard, and speaks with a Yorkshire accent. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, a dark green Nike jacket with a hood, yellow T-shirt, blue jeans and white trainers. Det Insp Lisa Redfern, of Kirklees CID, said a significant number of inquiries involving specialist officers were under way.

"Ibrar's family have been devastated by his disappearance and we continue to support and do all we can to find some answers for them," she added.
