The former Leeds United midfielder is expected to leave Manchester City in January
Former Leeds United academy shot stopper David Seaman wishes Kalvin Phillips was still a Whites player after a year of struggles at Manchester City. Phillips joined Pep Guardiola's side last season was part of the treble winning side last season, but struggled for consistent game time at the champions.
The writing is seemingly on the wall for Phillips at City, after 18-year-old Rico Lewis was preferred to the ex-Leeds man in the Champions League and then again for their top-of-the-table clash with Arsenal. The Gunners ran out 1-0 winner thanks to a late strike from Gabriel Martinelli, in a big psychological victory for Mikel Arteta's side.
Speaking on his podcast Seaman Says, the former Leeds United trainee said: "How does Kalvin Phillips feel? Rodri has been out for three games and he’s still not a regular.
